Ecological luxury – Cottage in the wilderness of Lapland
Hillagammi is a completely exceptional rental cottage in the middle of the Lapland wilderness. On the terrace of the cottage you will enjoy the nightless nights or admire the northern lights during the night. Every season is exceptional at Hillagammi.
Northern lights, fishing and the nature of Lapland
In winter, the cottage is a great place to watch the northern lights, as the village lighting does not extend here. In the spring and winter, it is worth coming to the cottage for ice fishing and enjoying the sound of spring in the sun. The nearest iron lakes are about 3 km away.
Unique wilderness cottage
Hillagammi has livingroom with large windows showing both the mountains of Kaldoaivi and Norway. In the kitchen you cook while enjoying the peace of nature and the stunning scenery. At both ends of the cottage, there is an atmospheric sleeping alcove for two people. The cottage has two double sleeping alcoves and a double sofa bed in the living room.
Hillagammi has limited mobile phone networks. If necessary, ask for mobile WIFI for an additional fee. Pets are welcome at Hillagammi.

Wilderness sauna, fells and Lapland nature
In the yard you will find a wilderness sauna which follows the same beautiful architecture. The basic heat at Hillagammi is maintained in the winter with a Wallas heater, so it’s nice to come there even when its freezing outside. Domestic water is retrieved from the adjacent clean stream.
Luxury on natural terms
Hillagammi has a Wallas heater to keep the cottage warm in all conditions. Cooking is possible with a gas stove and the phone can be charged via the USB connector.
Hillagammi doesn’t have running water, so you can take it from the crystal clear stream next to the cottage.
The sauna is wood-heated, where you can heat the wash water.
There is an outdoor toilet close to the cottage.
Ski, hike or mountain bike in the middle of nature
There is an approximately 5 kilometers long trail leading to Hillagammi.
During the winter you can reach the cottage by cross country skis or snowshoes, or we can provide you a snowmobile lift. In the summertime, you can hike or mountain bike to the cottage or we can take you and/or your luggage by ATV. We will charge extra for the transportation services.
